Hollywood's hottest gathered again last night for the 81st Annual Academy Awards. Host Hugh Jackman walked us through the evening, where we were happy to see the scrappy Slumdog Millionaire having quite the night!
Also welcome was the recognition of Sean Penn and Dustin Lance Black, who were recognized for their stellar work in the Gus Van Sant film Milk.
For all of us that have been waiting for an X-Men movie where Hugh Jackman doesn't have to share screen time with other lead characters, the time is here! The new HD X-Men Origins : Wolverine trailer is here. This movie will open May 1, 2009.
If you don't remember Wolverine's most extreme screen moments, here are a few pictures to jog the old noggin, courtesy of SuperHero Fan... Enjoy!
Hunk du Jour isn't exactly a political voice in the blogosphere, but the stripping away of rights for gay Californians (including some of my personal friends) is something that should not be tolerated. Recent polls show that if the election were held today, Proposition 8 would pass by a 6-point margin and eliminate the right to marry for same-sex couples in California.
There has been a huge fundraising push by folks looking to kill the progress that has been made in California towards equality, and the conservative voices are now outspending the voices of equality.
I urge you to give what you can to the No On Prop 8 campaign. Please donate today. We're also donating ad space on Hunk du Jour to the campaign from now through election day.
Hugh Jackman : Hugh's always on the top of the list no matter what. But this year with the final installment in the X-Men trilogy, the Woody Allen movie where he played the
sexiest yet smarmiest villian, and finally for his brilliant work in "The Prestige", 2006 was a good year.
