I missed it in theaters, and don't have here! TV so I couldn't catch the cable premiere -- luckily Shelter was just released on DVD and I finally had the opportunity to see the film. Calling it "the gay surfer movie" seems to sell it short, but the description is the one I've seen most thrown around.
It was a great movie with a talented (and sexy) cast -- definitely worth taking a look at!
Though my cable provider doesn't carry it, Shelter premieres on here! tv tonight. I'll be deciding which other coming-of-age film in our DVD library to watch... have a great weekend!
Photographer Adam Bouska (previously featured) shares this photo with us of Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe, stars of the film Shelter. The spread appears in Frontiers Magazine, where Brad had this insight into the film:
"What I love about this film is it's about opportunities. There's an opportunity for a kid to have a father, a man to have a lover, and an older man to find his art. What choices are made, well that's the journey."
Check out the full interview and photoshoot at Frontier Magazine. For a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot, go to JD Disalvatore's blog. The trailer appears after the jump.
Shelter opens in theaters this Friday, March 21st.
