The 2009 Tony Awards will be presented this Sunday, and the excitement in New York and around the country is building! We'll feature a few Broadway hunks this week in our own celebration.
First up is Nick Adams! Nick jumped into our consciousness while he was working on a little show called A Chorus Line, starring Mario Lopez. So the story goes that when Nick's physique was drawing a bit more attention than the star's, he was moved further back and his tank-topped torso covered up with a hoodie!
Nick is now appearing in Guys and Dolls, which is nominated for the Best Revival of a Musical award this year. After having appeared in Chicago and The Pirate Queen, he is now slated to appear in the upcoming An Englishmen in New York later this year.
Check out some great photos of Nick after the jump!

The next Broadway boy on our road to the Tony's is a nominee this year. Gavin Creel is nominated for his performance as Claude in HAIR.

Raul Esparza is nominated this year for his performance alongside Jeremy Piven and Elizabeth Moss in Speed-the-Plow. This is his third nomination in as many years.
Raul performed Being Alive, his character Bobby's signature song from Company, at the 2007 Tony Awards as well as the musical's television broadcast on PBS's Great Performances (which has a permanent home on my TiVo.)
There's also a great article in the New York Times from November 2006 where Raul opens up about his sexuality, struggling marriage, and relationships with men and women.
Cheyenne Jackson is a force to be reckoned with in New York, and tickets to his latest project (a politically-laced two man show alongside Michael Feinstein called The Power of Two) are a hot item right now. However, Cheyenne isn't quite keeping himself chained to the theater -- he's made guest appearances on Ugly Betty, The Mentalist, Lipstick Jungle, and Life on Mars.
What I'm really excited about, though, is his upcoming guest appearance on episode three of Glee! (I'm a little in love with that show.)
The Power of Two was just extended through June 27th. See performance and ticket information.
We'd like to welcome back an amazing friend of mine (and true Hunkologist)... Kat! With great picks like Craig, we hope to see more of her around here, while she's not being a pop culture know-it-all over at her own blog.
Craig Olejnik is a Canadian-born actor starring in the new show The Listener that's premiering this week on NBC. This John Stamos look-alike was previously seen on the short-lived, Donnie Wahlberg drama Runaway that lasted like 5 episodes on the CW a couple of years ago.
In The Listener Craig plays a telepathic paramedic that solves crimes or something. Who cares? His eyes are dreamy. So far the show's received pretty good reviews, and I'm looking forward to watching. Here's hoping that his character is forced to take off his uniform a lot.
Whether onstage originating the role of Luke in Altar Boyz, or bringing by that special package as Kyle the hunky UPS guy -- all eyes are on Andy Karl. He's now appearing in 9 to 5 on Broadway, so go check him out!

We're back from New York and ready for another hot Seattle week... and an even hotter week at Hunk du Jour as we bring you a few choice men from the world of Heroes.
Kicking off the fun is everyone's favorite villain... Sylar! Zachary Quinto keeps the character just a degree or two above pure evil, with an intensity that has me checking my forehead for a trickle of blood sometimes!
While I didn't go up and say hello, ("Hi!!! My-name-is-Chris-I-write-Hunk-du-Jour-and-I-kind-of-like-you-a-lot-will-you-be-my-friend?") we did sit a few rows behind Zach when we saw a show in New York. (We saw Next to Normal, which won a few Tony awards this weekend -- and it was great!)
We'll continue featuring some of the Heroes men this week... Tweet us at @hunkdujour and let us know your favorite Heroes and villains!

James Kyson Lee has been with Heroes since the beginning, and his character has come a long way from the powerless sidekick of Hiro. Ando now has powers of his own!
James also has a bunch of other projects lined up, including the premiere of the SciFi movie Star Runners this Saturday night.

Sendhil Ramamurthy stars as Mohinder Suresh, the sometimes-good-guy-sometimes-bad-guy geneticist. While he started out as just another ho-hum human trying to complete his murdered father's work, he now has powers thanks to a faulty science experiment on himself. (Apparently The Fly isn't a popular film in Mohinder's native India.)
While Sendhil's family (and his character Mohinder) are from India, Sendhil himself was born in Chicago. He is now married with one child.

Antonio Elias is an actor who appeared in the film Star Trek... get to know him a little better!
Name: Antonio Elias
Occupation: Actor
Hometown: Lvingston, New Jersey
Relationship Status: Single
Hunk du Jour: What do you like to do in your free time?
Antonio Elias: Hang out with my friends. Go to the beach when I can. Watch a good movie. I'm a pretty laid back guy.
Hunk du Jour: What do you love about acting?
Antonio Elias: I have so much fun doing it. It takes hard work and it's challenging but I have a lot of fun doing it. The chance to create something and breathe life into a character is an exciting and rewarding thing.
Hunk du Jour: What might someone not know about you at first glance? What might your friends not know about you?
Antonio Elias: I'm a pretty open person so I think my friends know most everything about me. I can't really think of anything off hand that one might not know about me.
Hunk du Jour: How did you get started in your industry? How long has it been now?
Antonio Elias: I started acting at age eight when my mother enrolled me in an acting summer camp. I caught the acting bug then and haven't stopped. I started with local community and professional theatre in S outh Florida. When I was ten I started doing commercials and print modeling. I got my SAG card when I was 11. When I was 21 I moved out to LA and have been here since. So it has been a while but there has never been a moment when I asked myself if I was making the right choice. I don't have anything to fall back on and I don't want to have anything to fall back on. This is my passion and my life.
Hunk du Jour: What accomplishment are you most proud of? What did the experience mean to you?
Antonio Elias: I am truly grateful for everything I've been able to accomplish thus far but I'm really proud of just being able to take the step of moving out here in the first place. Moving away from your family, friends, and all you know is not an easy thing. I was scared out of my mind. If I hadn't taken that first step when I did none of this would have happened.
Hunk du Jour: Are you currently promoting a project?
Antonio Elias: In the spring of 2008 I filmed my first lead in a feature film entitled Spoken Word. It stars Ruben Blades, Kuno Becker, Monique Curnen, Miguel Sandoval and myself. It's the story of San Francisco spoken word artist(Kuno Becker) that returns to New Mexico to be with his dying father (Ruben Blades), only to find he loses his "voice" as he is sucked back in to the dysfunctional life of drugs and violence he left behind.
Antonio Elias: I play Kuno's brother Ramon. Its a nice little movie. It was directed by Victor Nunez. It finished post-production this past February and is being submitted to various film festivals and the production company is actively seeking distribution.
Antonio Elias: In addition, me, some of my friends and our manager are currently developing a comedy pilot. It's already written and polished. We're just working on the budget and financing now. It's hilarious and everyone that reads it can't help but laugh out loud so hopefully we can get that off the ground soon.
Antonio Elias: Other than that I'm still auditioning, studying, and trying to make my dreams a reality.
Hunk du Jour: Is there something that you're secretly hoping we ask you about? Come on... just whisper it in our ear... :o)
Antonio Elias: Haha. I think you covered it all!
Senator Nathan Petrelli, the oldest Petrelli boy, is played by the quite handsome Adrian Pasdar. Another character who is "sometimes with us, other times against us" -- lately Nathan seems to have seen the light and decided to put family (and his own super-race) first.

Milo Ventimiglia wraps up our excellent Heroes week! Check out the three photos after the jump that I haven't seen floating around out there that much. For full coverage of the Heroes men from over the years, check out our Heroes index!
Also a big reminder to check out the full-size versions of these with those "enlarge" links on the site... these ones in particular are pretty high resolution!
P.S. We're looking for hunkologist interns at the moment... want to help us make the site better? Drop us a note and tell us why you'd be perfect for the gig!
I'm making a habit of starting off our theme weeks on Tuesdays, it seems... maybe I should just embrace that I'm not one of those "Monday People" and be OK getting productive starting on Tuesdays of each week!
This week we're diving into the world of home improvement television! There's something about the way these men can completely transform homes on ridiculously low budgets and/or time frames -- and if they look good in a tool belt while they're doing it, it's just icing on the cake!
Our fabulous reader Bill recommended this week's theme -- Thanks Bill! If you have a great idea for a future theme just drop us a note!
Kicking off things this week is Matthew Finlason, who helps people sell their homes by with expert staging on the HGTV show The Stagers.

Our next Home Improvement Hunk can be seen on both Australian and American television -- but Jamie Durie's form of home improvement is featured outside the four walls!
Jamie has been seen on HGTV Showdown, The Outdoor Room, The Victory Garden, Backyard Blitz, The Block, and Australia's Best Backyards. (Oh, and since that doesn't keep him busy enough he drops by to see Oprah every so often.) As you can gather from that list of credits -- he specializes in creating spectacular outdoor spaces!
Before hitting the airwaves he was a dancer with Manpower Australia - something he doesn't bury or try to hide, has his own award-winning landscaping company, and has even appeared on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars!

Joining our collection of this week's Home Improvement Hunks next is Thad Mills! Thad was one of the carpenters on Trading Spaces before it wrapped up it's eight season run last year.

With a body that looks like its made from steel, Bradley Cooper was bound to be discovered. He first hit the TV circuit with 6 years of Alias, followed by 3 years of Nip/Tuck. However, luckily we now get to see Bradley on the big screen, in lead roles I might add. Starting last year, he starred in The Midnight Meat Train, and most recently as Phil in The Hangover. In almost any appearance, Bradley is bound to take his shirt off. I don't think we blame him.
Read his article in The Advocate in the June 2009 edition.
