Brad Womack, star of The Bachelor 11

ABC lived up to its hype last night, in what is being reported as one of the most dramatic finales yet. Bachelor #11, Brad Womack, gave the final rose to...

[spoiler alert]

...nobody!

Brad couldn't allow himself to propose to either of the women. It's a shocking turn of events in the show -- and refreshing that the producers didn't man-handle him into making a choice for the sake of the series.

Tonight the "After the Rose" episode airs... where I'm sure Brad will be faced with tough questions and even tougher criticism.

What do you think about the turn of events?

I can't believe this guy. He beds 3 or 4 of these women and then dumps them all. I used to like to watch the bachlor but this did it for me. You guys need to get some kind of morals for this show. Doubt I"ll ever watch it again. Why not try to get some more decent guys like Andy Baldwin on the show. He probably went to bed with some of the women I don't call them ladies)but he certainly was a gentleman about it. I feel so bad for all those lovely women who were used and then dumped like they were garbage. This show has certainly been a bust this season. What a waste of time well...........it won't happen again. Fan no more

Gosh, a comedy. This is great and about time. I'm also available if Brad would like to bed me as well.

I really thought Brad was an honest and sincere kinda guy...until he left both the girls haging like he did. Oh well , I guess you could say he got cold feet and isn't quite the upfront and sincere and honest guy he claimed to be. Especially the way he took the "give me a minute" pause he did before he slapped Deanna in the face. I will never watch this show again!!

He played the TV audience and strung the girls along AND got paid....aaah...the American way. You should be really proud of yourself Brad.

I think Brad's done a noble thing by not feeling pressured into deciding to marrying anyone.

Marriage is a very sacred & deep committment from one person to the other and shouldn't be entered into lightly just because of outside pressures no matter what they may be.

I'm sure he feels badly, and very sorry that there wasn't a chemistry that he had hoped he would find on this show. :( I feel for everyone involved, but again...no one should feel pressured into making such a deep and sacred committment to another unless they are more then 100% sure! Otherwise all parties involved would be living a lie...and ultimately what's worse?

Brad should have thought about the girls feelings too and not just his. It seems that he is very selfish.

I knew he wasn't going to choose one of them. It was sooo obvious when he was talking about each of them. He would say how torn he was over each one but in his voice it was rehearsed. It was something they gave him to read off of. He didn't really feel deeply about either one of them. Maybe he didn't really want to hurt either one, but that man had no intentions on proposing to either girl last night.

Interesting that he's being called insincere...I think he did the most noble thing he could. Hey, he didn't fall in love and couldn't lie about it. C'mon, ladies, we've all survived heartbreak and lived to tell about it. He'd be insincere and a jerk if he actually strung them along and wasted their time. Life goes on.

What is the matter with the women of today. They allow themselves to be tested for STD's and pronounced "clean" so they can go be prostituted out to some "bachelor." Have more self respect ladies. At this point, men are going to take what they can get. They've not evolved far enough to have much of a sense of moral fairplay.

What is the problem with women of today. They allow themselves to be tested and examined for STD's just so they can be prostituted to some so-called bachelor who thinks he's hit the jackpot. Men have yet to evolve past their p@&?nis so ladies you really need to look out for yourself.

My spin is this.....Brad is good-looking, single and is well-invested in several lucrative bars with his brothers. He stands to lose a great deal getting married to the "wrong" gal. I don't believe he strung anyone along and remember folks, these gals were all willing participants and knew the risk they were taking when they signed up for this venture. So regardless of what the agendas were for each party, don't make assumptions and judge unknowingly. Brad, I think you know what you want and what you don't want and that is a good thing!

I've watched all 11 seasons of the bachelor and this was by far the worst thing i've seen yet. No one says you have to marry the person (or even propose). Some of the other seasons the men and women have said look let's see how it works in the real world. I think Brad was horrible. If you watched the after the rose special tonight you got to hear one side note. He asked for deanna's father to be brought in because he was sure he was going to propose to her. Sure doesn't sound to me like he was torn at all. I watched tonight and he couldn't even explain the what or why of his actions. Then there was that cute little moment of him pulling Deanna close at the end and telling her "I will miss you more then you will ever know" The man is a sleeze. He keeps telling the girls I want you..I want to be with you...oh I think of you every day (which is what he told Deanna tonight) and then hits them with the oh wait I can't be with you. I loved how he said he has some issues to work on. Ya think?

He's gay.

@15 - * eyeroll *

Someday I wish we get to a point where that comment/assumption doesn't pop up in every popular comment thread.

Maybe somewhere throughout the experience he realized something... that finding "true love" on a television program rife with manufactured dates and an underlying current of competition is a huge long shot?

I'm just saying there have been 10 bachelors before him, and at this point we only have one couple that looks like they are heading towards the altar.

I feel that he used the show and the producers and no intention of every marrying any one Why would a prince or millionaire need to go on national tv to get a wife.
These type of people are not honest and only use this for their benefit.

I THINK THAT THIS WAS THE LAST BACHELOR I WILL EVER WATCH.I ALSO THINK IF HE OWNS ALL THESE BARS THEN WHY COULDNT HE FIND A GIRL ON HIS OWN? I THINK HE ONLY DID THIS SHOW FOR PUBLICITY. HES DEFINATELY A JERK AND I HOPE HE GETS HURT BADLY BY MANY GIRLS.

We had lots of company to watch to final show. All were disappointed and most would never watch again. This show is degrading to the women who participate not to all woman. There are better ways to find love. This show just emphases on immorality. Get a life!

One of two things is going on with Brad.

1) He has a lot to risk by marrying a gold digger BUT that is what pre nups are for right?

2) You don't get to your mid-30s and not be married unless you are very self absorbed. There had to be some vanity in working his body into that state of total hotness.
