Back in September we talked about Bret Harrison, he's starring in Reaper -- where he plays a guy whose soul has been sold to the devil and is now forced to act as his bounty hunter... capturing escaped souls and sending them back to hell. He's helped by his two knuckle-head friends who work at a local "big box" store with him.
When Bret was on The Loop he managed to get shirtless in a lot of the episodes... we notice such things. :) I'm happy to report that the happy trend continues, and there has yet to be an episode of Reaper where Bret keeps his shirt on the whole time.
Whether his shirt is on or off, he's totally adorable and one of our favorite men on TV right now.

The Project Runway premiere is just over a week away, and if you're anything like me then you are more than anxious to get your Runway fix again.
Jack Mackenroth is one of the new designers who initially caught my eye. Then he caught my interest as I heard more about his background as a medalist in multiple Gay Olympic games, his openness about being an HIV-positive man, and about being a Seattle native. (Got to root for our own, Seattle!) He is designing his own line of mens shirts and pants, as well as a memoir about his life experiences.
Jack agreed to do a little Q&A with Hunk du Jour about his life leading up to Runway -- and kept his lips sealed about what we can expect in the new season (premieres November 14th, 2007 on Bravo.)

Hunk du Jour: What was your auditioning experience like for the latest season of Project Runway?
Jack Mackenroth: The audition process is very elaborate. They need to make sure that you have a clear design point of view and that you have the necessary skills to handle the challenges. You need to be able to illustrate, pattern draft, sew, drape and know your fabrics all while looking pretty and be interesting. Personally for me the process was fairly positive. Tim thought I could push the envelope with my designs because my aesthetic is very classic. Laura Bennett was the guest judge and she totally "got" me so I think she helped me get to the next round. Truthfully I was a sweaty, panicky mess the whole time. I had auditioned the previous season and was told "maybe" so I was nervous as hell.
HdJ: Where were you when you found out you were selected? How did you celebrate?
JM: I got the call when I was walking down the street in Manhattan. It's a very surreal experience because you want to scream and tell the world but because of the air tight confidentiality agreement you cant tell anyone. Basically I just said "shut up!" to the person from Bravo and then I hung up and jumped up and down for about 30 seconds like a freak.

In Moonlight, Alex O'Loughlin plays Mick St. John -- a vampire that spends his eternity protecting the living. It was either protect them or eat them... he chose to go against the norm after saving a young girl's life. But wait -- he runs into the girl again and their bond is unshakable. She's an investigative reporter now, and he has to hold his feelings for her at bay (because of, ya know... the whole bloodsucking thing.) Now she's had to save his life by letting him sink his teeth into her and things are just AW-kward!

Steve Sandvoss got a shout out this week on the blog of DNA Magazine, where he's been voted the October 2007 Spunk of the Month. One of his most memorable roles was that of the Mormon missionary in Los Angeles who finds love and inner turmoil when he falls for his neighbor, a man-ho waiter who had initially put the moves on as part of a bet.
What you might not have realized is that he also appeared on the last episode of Grey's Anatomy (the episode where the two brides are in a contest to win a wedding gown.) He played the fiancé of one of the dueling brides, and while he is sporting a different look -- he was still quite handsome.

My sweetie and I saw the Kelly Clarkson concert in Seattle last night, and were happily re-introduced to Jon McLaughlin, who opened the show. This Indiana resident is criss-crossing the nation wtih Kelly on her tour, as well as headlining some events.
From our seats in the last row of the theater we didn't get a great look at him, but we hurried out into the lobby after his set to watch him while he signed autographs. Yowzah! He's such a cutie, plus we really-really enjoyed his music. I'd heard "Beautiful Disaster" before, it was even better live. I was coming home on Monday, and got concerned as I was walking towards my mailbox and saw smoke curling out of the keyhole in the box... I opened up the mailbox (smoke pouring from it) and pulled out the contents. "Ah," I thought, "it's just the new issue of DNA Magazine."
Photographer Pedro Virgil took these photos of model Vincent Gough for the magazine on Lake Macquarie. Vincent is a former Irish rugby player (and you know how we love them!) He's in fantastic shape -- and knows how to show off swim trunks.

Hunk du Jour favorite Cheyenne Jackson was interviewed by Two Gay Guys -- Michael and Brent from AfterElton.com about working on Xanadu: The Musical.
As this year comes to a close, it is time to list those we are most thankful for. Besides our friends and family there are those couple of hunks that make you get excited everytime you see them. My top three... Milo Ventimiglia, Jason Mraz & Mika.

We're continuing our tradition of featuring the men from this year that we're most thankful for. This year has been a fantastic year for hunks, narrowing it down to these few is tough.
Before we get to my list, though, I want to give thanks for the many new people I've met this year because of Hunk du Jour. We've made some great new friends while talking with some absolutely amazing people -- whether they be artists, models, performers, or men off the street. We're here for you. What is life in Sugar land Texas Like?
Sugar Land is the 3rd best place to live in America (according to CNN). It is awful, boring, and lacks any substance. I plan on making a grand exit one day... it will be glorious.
While recovering from Thanksgiving dinner I put my programming skills to use again and concocted this new twist on an old feature. Now you can vote for the Hunk of the Day right from the blog, as it is now a daily post!
Each day we select six images as nominees for Hunk of the Day. You're invited to cast your vote for one of the six images -- the image with the highest votes gets posted the next day. Simple, right? Yesterday's voting gave us Eric Martsolf as the winner -- who will get the crown tomorrow?
We've been keeping an eye on the Gay Bloggies competition (Caution: NSFW!) and have a few folks that we'd like to see win it all... however, when it came down to picking someone to endorse we've gone with D'Michael from CitizenDangerX.
Not only is he our hometown player (both CitizenDangerX and Hunk du Jour are Seattle-based), but he's also going to be donating half of the prize money to charity. We love supporting good causes, so I'm announcing that if D'Michael hits 1st or 2nd place, I will donate $150.00 to both American Lung Association and amFAR as well!
