Scott Mechlowicz stars in Peaceful Warrior as Dan Millman. Dan is a golden-boy gymnast and the big man on campus, but that is all sent into a tailspin when he's involved in a car crash that leaves him broken both mentally and physically. Finding strength in a mentor, he struggles to reclaim some sense of normalcy in his life.
I'm excited to see this film (I already have a copy on reserve) and not just because it is bound to be peppered with gymnasts in various states of dress. It looks like a great story and the buzz on the web is that the novel it is based on has changed a few lives. I'm not sure I'll be THAT moved, but its worth a rental for sure.

I saw the movie when it came out at the theaters. Scott's great bod on the poster got my attention. While I usually like stories of overcoming the odds and reaching your goal, this one didn't really move me all that much. All the situations where Scott is supposed to learn a new life lesson from Nick Nolte's character felt artificial.

Scott is my dreamboy! He's beautiful without being too perfect with a great butt! Plus he can act. Check him out in Mean Creek to see what I mean.
