The series follows the path of a young Henry VIII as he gets wrapped up in obsessions over heirs, women, immortality, and war. The super-sexy Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays King Henry, the hot-headed and hot-blooded ruler of England with a seemingly insatiable appetite for women.
I've now watched the first two episodes and will be screening a preview disc of Episode 3 tonight, and I'm pleasantly suprised by this series. (And not, not just because of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill appearing in various states of undress.) The show has somehow sucked my skeptical self into it.

I was also surprised by the quality of this show. It could be my new "Six Feet Under", especially if they continue showing male derriers!

I don't get the attraction, here. He's been lousy in the few projects I've seen him in -- he must not know anything about the concepts of subtlety and underplaying in a performance -- and he's never struck me as really attractive. But then, I've never gone for adult men who look and act like snotty, spoiled brats.

He is uber sexy!! I loved the first 2 episodes. He's awesome and very talented. The show is really interesting to be about history. Brilliant, and major props to Rhys-Meyers!!!!

i think he plays a good role in all his movies he gives it that extra something. plus he's very good looking.

I only first saw john in bend it like beckham and i cant stand football but i really liked this he is a great actor and very good looking its his eyes you cant help but fall in love with this actor all i can say is keep on the good work

I LOVE Jonathan and I think that he is an amazing actor. He plays the part of Henry so well, plus his good looks and sexy body make the show all that more interesting!!!!!!!
