The Tudors has been the source of some insane buzz and a marketing blitz announcing its arrival on Showtime. The series follows the path of a young Henry VIII as he gets wrapped up in obsessions over heirs, women, immortality, and war. The super-sexy Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays King Henry, the hot-headed and hot-blooded ruler of England with a seemingly insatiable appetite for women.
I've now watched the first two episodes and will be screening a preview disc of Episode 3 tonight, and I'm pleasantly suprised by this series. (And not, not just because of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill appearing in various states of undress.) The show has somehow sucked my skeptical self into it.
Have you watched the premiere? What did you think?
