AIDS prevention, treatment, and awareness is a paramount concern for our generation. Many companies have joined together for the ( PRODUCT ) RED campaign. ( RED ) gets a portion of sales directly, buys pills, and distributes them to needy populations.
Globally, between 33.4 and 46 million people currently live with HIV. In 2005, between 3.4 and 6.2 million people were newly infected and between 2.4 and 3.3 million people with AIDS died, an increase from 2003 and the highest number since 1981.
AIDS is a problem in the United States, but it is a drastic problem on the African continent. More than 64% of all people living with HIV are in sub-Saharan Africa, as are more than three quarters (76%) of all women living with HIV. On this World AIDS day I encourage you to look beyond the statistics and tales of loss.
Look inside -- there are simple things that YOU can do. You have the power to affect lives and better humanity. Donate a few dollars to charity. Buy a ( RED ) product. Talk to your kids or parents about AIDS.
