Now playing at New York's NewFest, and opening soon in art house theaters around the country, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green! Based on the comic penned by Eric Orner (who himself is pretty cute!), the movie takes us through some of the unfortunate stabs at dating with serial dater Ethan Green.

Encountered along the way are some of the archetypes that you may recognize from your dating life (the M4M junkie, the confused jock, the twink) as well as a Mom (Meredith Baxter) who seems to show up everywhere. Throw in a few drag queens (and, oh yeah, the fact that Ethan's ex-boyfriend is gettin' hitched to his new gay republican boyfriend) and you've got what is sounding like a pretty funny flick!

Eric Balfour turned up the heat last year in Lie With Me... and apparently he shows off darn near every inch of his body. (I'm sure we don't mind!) He was also previously seen as Milo on 24 and in the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

As US television viewers are settling in for Baywatch re-runs and Big Brother (our favorite guilty summer pleasure!) the rest of the world is gathering in pubs and at parties to watch the month-long 2006 World Cup soccer tournament unfold.

To help you keep up with those irresistably fit players, we'll devote International Tuesdays from now through July 9th to the cause... so, tell me -- who's your favorite player?

Your favorite might be featured here in the coming weeks as we take a look at World Cup players in the next month each Tuesday as part of our (mostly) regular International Tuesday feature.

Gay Pride Month is upon us and parades, parties, rallies and festivals are upon us! We'll be keeping a close eye on social photography network flickr and sharing some of the Hunks of Pride '06 each Monday through July 3rd.

Here's where you come in -- you can help contribute by getting out there with your camera and uploading the hunks you catch to the Hunk du Jour flickr photo group! You can also encourage others with photos on flickr to send their photos to the group to be featured.

My partner Doug ran across Ginch Gonch's web site this weekend. They've got some pretty sweet retro boxers, briefs, jocks, and shirts available - plus they run some pretty wild contests. Currently they're featuring the finalists of their "wedgie" contest -- oh my!

They've got some downloadable wallpaper and a small video library too. Anyone out there a Ginch Gonch fan? Recommendations of anything I should try? (Ginch Gonch folks: I'd be more than happy to take free samples... all in the name of research, right?)

Ok, so some of y'all are probably opening up your RSS readers today and going "What the heck?!? Where did my (boring) list of names go? I've decided to kill my "Hunk of the Day" RSS feed, which only really listed a name & date anyway, and automagically transfer y'all to the RSS feed of blog posts.

This one is much more interesting, and you may be suprised to see that so much has been happening around Hunk du Jour.com!

Is it too early for 2007 Calendars? The DC Cowboys don't think so! The dance troupe's benefit calendar will bring in some much needed funds for the troupe as well as the Whitman-Walker Clinic, whom they will split the proceeds with. On this International Tuesday we continue our FIFA 2006 World Cup coverage with a young man playing for Switzerland who managed to score a goal yesterday -- Alex Frei!

Best wishes to The Rock on his achilles tendon surgery... while shooting a Disney comedy he ruptured his achilles tendon. Production has halted, hopefully temporarily, to let him heal up.

Seattle's Gay Pride Parade & Festivals are happening this weekend. I'm bound to have a lot of new photos to share with you next week. In the meantime, here are four more great photos of LA Pride!

Miami-based Frivole has launched a new line of menswear -- including tops, bottoms, and swimwear. AND one of the two male models they selected to show off the new line was Hunk du Jour favorite Ivan!

On top of being geniuses about model selection, Frivole is very gay-friendly (Hello, Miami?) and has some great looking items. The Frivole Coutoure line is a little more upscale, with the rest of us shopping from the other Frivole line.

Seattle Pride 2006 was pretty darn fun, and there are plenty of photos still coming in. Watch this space for the photos sets that I find. I've also created a flickr group for photos if you'd like to share! (It's free.)
